Living alone on an island of their own

Staying on this island, Gyllenklobb, is the highlight of your trip.
You will be transported out to the island where a heated hot tube awaits
You will stay in a cabin on the highest point on the island, with a view of the surrounding sea and islands.
You have been sent a food package that you can prepare on the grill.
The following day you will be picked up according to agreement.

History reapeat itself

The Crimean War of 1854 was a settlement between Russia and its allies England and France. Finland was at that time part of the Russian Tsarist Empire. The fortifications on Åland had been built up over 20 years using the latest construction techniques. However, the great powers of the time, England and France, began to see this fortification as a threat to their own security.
In the summer of 1854, they decided to sail with a joint fleet to the Baltic Sea. It was the first time in world history that steam-powered ships were used in naval battles. After just over a week of fighting, the defenders of the fortifications had laid down their arms

How do you travel here?

If you are travelling from England, you can fly to Stockholm Arlanda Airport. From there, you can take a connecting flight to Mariehamn in Åland, which takes about 35 minutes. The route is operated by PopulAir with daily departures at 9:00 AM and 8:00 PM.
