You will be transported out to the island where a heated hot tube awaits
You will stay in a cabin on the highest point on the island, with a view of the surrounding sea and islands.
You have been sent a food package that you can prepare on the grill.
The following day you will be picked up according to agreement.
The Crimean War of 1854 was a settlement between Russia and its allies England and France. Finland was at that time part of the Russian Tsarist Empire. The fortifications on Åland had been built up over 20 years using the latest construction techniques. However, the great powers of the time, England and France, began to see this fortification as a threat to their own security.
In the summer of 1854, they decided to sail with a joint fleet to the Baltic Sea. It was the first time in world history that steam-powered ships were used in naval battles. After just over a week of fighting, the defenders of the fortifications had laid down their arms
If you are travelling from England, you can fly to Stockholm Arlanda Airport. From there, you can take a connecting flight to Mariehamn in Åland, which takes about 35 minutes. The route is operated by PopulAir with daily departures at 9:00 AM and 8:00 PM.
Alternatively, you can travel by sea from Stockholm with Viking Line.
Day 1 When you arrive at the port/airfield, we will meet you from the Resort in Sandösund. We will drive 50 km. At the resort, your hotel room will be waiting. You decide when you want to have your evening meal.
Day 2 after breakfast, we plan a trip out to the main destination of your trip, the island of Gyllenklobb. The island is named because its granite rocks shine like gold at sunset. The cottage located on the highest point of the island will be your home for a day. You will prepare the food that has been sent with you on the grill.(här bilden med grillen) A large part of your stay will probably be spent in the heated wilderness pool, alternating diving into the cold sea. End the evening by sitting and watching the sun sink into the sea on the horizon. The Nordic summer night is short, go out in the early morning, don’t sleep away the best time of day, April and May are the best months for those of you who have an ear for the enticing mating song of birds.
Dag 3 You will be picked up for return to the Resort. Brunch is served in the Tavern. You choose an activity for the day; kayaking, single or double. Or a bike ride to Bomarsund to become more familiar with the fortress and its history. You will be served dinner from the menu in the Restaurant.
Day 4 the day you end your adventure in our island world. After breakfast we will drive you to Mariehamn. You choose yourself, do you want to take the boat to Stockholm at 2.30 pm or fly to Arlanda or alternatively you want to continue your holiday to Finland

Payment and cancellation rules: When booking, an invoice will be sent with 10 days to the due date. In case of cancellation; 21 days before arrival and the entire amount paid will be refunded. up to 7 days before arrival and 50% of the amount paid will be refunded
